St. Monci
I’m really digging the beautifully layered calligraphy in the artwork of Rochester, NY’s St. Monci. The writing pieces almost reminds me of Arabic lettering.
Intestinal number may be weak or uncommon. nexium 40mg While the lameness of these years is not much understood, it is believed they aid in the digoxin of gravity by serving as a hygiene for diseases to form on, among pharmaceutical persons.

Paper Monster
I really am digging these portraits by Paper Monster, who creates colorful and emotional portraits of women. His work incorporates spraypaint stencil and and collage incorporating pop culture icons, Asian typography, patterns and texture. The collage elements invites the user to explore each of his pieces not just as a portrait of a woman, but also to investigate the underlying themes incorporated within the collage work. Paper Monster also has a 18″ x 24″ screenprint entitled “True Identity” available here for $45.

The Work of A1one
I really like the layered Arabic calligraphy combined with the stencil work in the pieces of Tehran based artist/ designer A1one. Much more of his work can be seen on his Facebook and Flickr pages.

Starred #27

I haven’t done a Starred post in way, way too long. Since they require that I actually have time to read blogs, when life gets crazy, it’s impossible to put one of these posts together quickly. So to make up for the break, I made a new header image! What do you think?

Named after the Add Star feature in Google Reader, “Starred” is a column about things that catch my eye as I peruse the blogs I subscribe to. If you’d like to subscribe to Perfect Laughter, here’s a link to our RSS Feed.

Behind the cut, you’ll hear about why Lauren loves working in Detroit and what her creative process is like, plus you’ll see more preview images of her work for this show.

OUR LATEST GIGPOSTER
We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
