Paper Monster

I really am digging these portraits by Paper Monster, who creates colorful and emotional portraits of women. His work incorporates spraypaint stencil and and collage incorporating pop culture icons, Asian typography, patterns and texture. The collage elements invites the user to explore each of his pieces not just as a portrait of a woman, but also to investigate the underlying themes incorporated within the collage work. I really like the layered Arabic calligraphy combined with the stencil work in the pieces of Tehran based artist/ designer A1one. Much more of his work can be seen on his Facebook and Flickr pages.
